VALLADOLID

Known today as “The Capital of the Maya Orient”, Valladolid is one of the two Magical Towns of Yucatan. It is a beautiful destination, as it has preserved the architectural beauty of its ancestral colonial buildings.

It is located 30 km from Merida. It is the first port of height and the most important of the Yucatan coast. It has all the natural elements for the practice of different activities and has been configured as a tourist center.

SITES

  • Chichen Itzá

Chichen Itza, the most famous Mayan city in the world is located 115 kilometers from the city of Merida, Yucatan and 188 km from the city of Cancun, Quintana Roo; declared a World Heritage Site in 1988 by UNESCO and Wonder of the World since 2007.

  • Uxmal

Uxmal is one of the main archaeological sites of the Mayan zone. Its monumental urban conception, impressive architecture and artistic ornamentation, as well as its undeniable historical value, have earned it recognition as a World Heritage Site.

  •  Dzibichaltún - Zona Arqueológica + Cenote

It is considered one of the oldest Mayan cities, whose name means “the place where there is writing on flat stones”. 
Dzibilchaltún is located at kilometer 14 of the Merida-Progreso Highway. It can be visited every day from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
